Chilliwack City Council in cooperation with the local Ann Davis Transition Society are holding a campaign this October to educate people and get them to show their support for Stopping Violence against Women. All this October, they are asking people to use purple coloured light bulbs and have them lightened in their windows at night. They are available  at The local Ann Davis Society office, as well as at several hardware stores. You can get individual bulbs as well as Christmas Strings for stronger effect. They are available at no cost.

The Violence against Women campaign was begun by the late Jack Layton and it quickly spread to other countries. It is now a world-wide fight.
